We are very pleased to announce our Summer Student Program 2022.

Since 2012, the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) has been inviting international advanced undergraduate students in the natural sciences and related fields to join our research teams during the period between July and September.

Despite the inconveniences and difficulties generated by the corona pandemic, we managed to carry out our program during the last two years. The students who have participated in this program have given us very good feedback and that motivates us to continue year after year doing our best to offer a high quality scientific student program.

Summer students have the opportunity to work in one of our institutes, being an integral part of a research group. The tasks to be developed range from practical operations in the laboratories to data analysis, scientific computing and theoretical sciences. This is a good opportunity to get to know the day-to-day work of the scientists and to exchange experiences with scientists and students from all over the world.

HZDR is a member of the Helmholtz Association of Research Centers in Germany. Our goal is to carry out cutting-edge research in the areas of energy, health and matter in order to find new ways to protect and improve human life. We currently employ 1.400 people in eight research institutes and various administrative departments.
